WHO ARE WE?

THE STUDIO MSV VISION

INTRODUCTION
hello! my name is Andrew and this is my company. Click here to learn more about me. :-)

HISTORY
In 2003, I had the idea of starting a videography company focused soley on catering to the high-end bride. At the time, wedding videography consisted of nerdy uncles, Hi-8 camcorders, and videos you never watched.

I started Morning Star Videography as a counterpoint to the afterthought that was wedding videography. I introduced the Same Day Edit to the Bay Area and am considered on of its pioneers in the United States. I carved a new niche of watchable videos that weren't three-hour long snooze fests but upbeat music videos that maintained the emotional core of the wedding day. I changed the image of the wedding video from an embarassing afterthought into a desireable priority and point of pride for the bride.

In 2008 I relaunched Morning Star Videography as Studio MSV but continued reaching for the stars.

...if you run a business focused on helping people, you will never run out of customers.

CONTINUED SUCCESS
Since we rebranded as Studio MSV, we were able to expand our creative endeavors from wedding videos to corporate promotional video production, fashion and editorial photography, wedding photography, family portraiture, commercial vlog, graphic design work for small companies as well as large non-profits and so on.

Studio MSV has shot events and traveled to Cancun and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; France; Turks and Caicos; Washington DC; Los Angeles; New Orleans; and many other exotic, mundane, and unexpected places. We have shot for international brands from the Los Angeles International Auto Show, Estée Lauder, Apple, and Square Inc., to local tech companies like Pure Storage, VMWare, and rubbed elbows with sports celebrities, Grammy winners, and the list goes on. But through it all, my core tennant and central vision remains the same...

VISION
My singular focus in running my business has been to help people by telling their story.

I believe that if you run a business focused on helping people, you will never run out of customers. And if you help people by telling their stories, the work you do will resonate with them in a deep and meaningful way.
